Welcome to the website of fine art photographer and writer Lawrence Earley. My new book The Workboats of Core Sound: Stories and Photographs of a Changing World is now available in bookstores. Published by the University of North Carolina Press, the book contains more than 100 photographs of the old wooden fishing boats of this eastern North Carolina region, plus essays and excerpts from interviews with fishermen and their families. I've loved working on the project. Also, the traveling exhibit of photographs from the book is now at home at the Core Sound Waterfowl Museum and Heritage Center on Harkers Island, N.C.
