Buying Prints

Like all photographers, I’d love to sell you one of my prints.  I’ve made them available on this website in two forms—as archival inkjet prints and as Limited Edition silver prints (traditional darkroom prints). 

 

 Archival Inkjet Print

         I offer affordable digital prints using an Epson 2880 and Epson Ultrachrome inks on matte papers.   The papers I use Harman Matt FB Mp Warmtone and Epson Hot Press Natural.  Both are heavy stock with beautiful finishes.  I do my own printing to make sure that the print you receive has been seen by me and is the best that I can produce using my own materials. 

          I prefer to leave the image unmatted so you can matt it to the size and color specifications that you desire.  The print is mailed Priority Mail by U.S. Postal Service.  

          The size and prices of the archival digital prints are as follows:

  •  8.5 in. x 11 in.  $45 plus tax and shipping   
  • 11 in. x 17 in. $75 plus tax and shipping
  • 13 in. x 19 in. $150 plus tax and shipping

 

Limited Edition Gelatin Silver Print

          For those who prefer the look and feel of a gelatin silver print—photographs hand-made in the traditional darkroom—I offer editions of 45 in three sizes.  I follow the recommended archival processing and washing procedures to make sure that the print you buy will last many years.  

          I use a variety of papers depending on the tonal values desired in a given print.  These papers include Ilford Multigrade IV premium quality fiber-based paper, a cold-toned paper with bright whites and deep blacks.  I also use Adox MCC 110 premium fiber-based paper (formerly Agfa Multicontrast Classic) which has a rich, warm tone.  The papers are selenium toned or sepia-toned for a beautiful effect. 

          I mount and matt the limited-edition prints.  The print is mounted on 3/8 in. acid-free foam board and matted on a best-quality, bright white Alphamat® 4-ply matt board or warm white Alphamat® 4-ply matt board.  It is mailed Priority Mail by U.S. Postal Service.

          Limited Edition Gelatin Silver Prints come in three paper sizes:

  •  8 in. x 10 in. matted to 11 in. x 14 in.         $175   
  • 11 in. x 14 in. matted to 16 in. x 20 in.        $300
  • 16 in. x 20 in. matted to 20 in. x 24 in.        $450
