Haul Boat Approaching, Core Sound.tiff
Core Sound workboats are so versatile they can be used in different fisheries. Ambrose Fulcher of Atlantic built the HAUL BOAT as a runboat in 1936 for the Clayton Fulcher fish house. She was originally named the MARION A. for Fulcher's wife Marion Agnes. When long-hauling declined in the 1960s, the Fulchers used her to trawl for shrimp. When long-hauling grew profitable again in the 1980s she was converted back to a run boat. Danny Mason of Sea Level bought her in 1998 and renamed her. Mason uses her as one of his two haul boats.
