Workboats of Core Sound (28 images)
I have photographed the old wooden fishing boats of the Core Sound area of coastal North Carolina for many years. Though built in several different fishing villages, these "Core Sounders" share many features, most notably a rounded stern. Many of these boats are quite old and some have gone to pieces since the photographs were made.
