Linda in Atlantic.tiff
The LINDA, here tied up at the docks of the Smith and Son Fish House in Atlantic, was built by Ambrose Fulcher in 1939 for John Weston Smith and named for Smith's daughter. She was built as a runboat but was also used for shrimping, clamming and crabbing. Wooden workboats require constant upkeep, and sometimes the amount of work required exceeds the usefulness of the boat. In 2010, the LINDA lay half sunk in the harbor.
